You can safely feed organic milk kefir or milk kefir grains to your dog or cat.
Just as us humans do, cats and dogs need a balanced intestinal flora.
One of my best friends, a dog lover, got his dog Dexter healed from a debilitating digestive problem with kefir.
One day he was enjoying his afternoon smoothie, and Dexter came along begging for whatever his master was having.
My mate poured a little bit of kefir in his bowl, and the morning after, it was the first time in days that Dexter didn’t have blood in his stool.
Since then, Dexter gets a daily feed of either straight kefir or a smoothie, and he begs his master now for one every time he hears the blender running.
Funny enough, my two cats Titine and Francine do NOT touch milk, however they like a little bit of kefir.
But then again, I think they just do it to please us…
Yeah right, I hear you say!
